ECSA

The European Community Shipowners’ Associations (ECSA) is the voice of the European shipping industry. Founded in 1965 as “Comité des Associations d’Armateurs des Communautés Européennes (CAACE)”, ECSA promotes the interests of 19 member associations of the EU and Norway. ECSA strives for a regulatory environment that fosters the international competitiveness of European shipping.

Marius Dejarnac | Policy Advisor

Marius Dejarnac is a Policy Advisor on Shipping & Trade at the European Community Shipowners’ Associations, dealing with file relating to trade, maritime security and cybersecurity. Marius has a master degree in EU studies from the ULB’s Institut d’études européennes. Prior to joining ECSA, Marius worked for the European Parliament and in a Brussels’ based Energy association.


Adaptive Recognition

Adaptive Recognition designs, develops and produces software and hardware based on computer image processing technology. These are used as components in traffic and security systems.
The company’s flagship product, Carmen®, is a globally recognized, highly versatile automatic license plate recognition (ANPR) software. Adaptive Recognition also designs and manufactures ANPR cameras and other hardware, as well as identity document readers and scanners.
Founded in 1991, Adaptive Recognition is a global company with several offices worldwide and representatives on all continents.

Csaba Nagy-Amigo | Director Business Development

Csaba Nagy-Amigo has graduated at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics as an Electrical Engineer. He specialized in high bandwidth communication and designing electrical equipment’s. He started his career as a hardware and embedded software developer then turned to the business development and building & leading specialized teams. He aims to make a better and safer world for everyone with his diverse knowledge, experiences, and the power of Adaptive Recognition.


CERTH

CERTH/ITI is one of the leading research institutions of Greece, with long experience in European and national R&D projects. It is active in numerous application sectors (health, robotics, (cyber)security, transport, smart cities, space, etc.) and technology areas such as data and visual analytics, deep learning, image processing, computer and cognitive vision, human computer interaction, IoT and communication, navigation, cloud and computing, distributed ledger technologies, interoperability, social media analysis and more. CERTH/ITI has participated in >550 research projects and R&D contracts with the Private Sector.
Its publication record includes >330 publications in international journals, >780 conferences and >100 books and chapters.

Georgios Stavropoulos | Research Associate

Georgios Stavropoulos has a Diploma degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. He is a Research Associate with the Information Technologies Institute (ITI) of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH) since 2006. He has been involved in numerous European and National projects. He is an expert developer, experienced in C++, C# and Python programming languages, as well as various libraries, SDKs and API’s, and has developed numerous applications and algorithms for information collection and visualization, text mining, text sentiment estimation and more. His involvement with these research areas has led to the authoring and co-authoring of more than 25 articles in refereed journals and international conferences.

Pascal Janer | VP Sales and Business Development Europe

Pascal Janer is currently Vice President of Sales at IN Groupe (new brand of the Imprimerie Nationale) with 20 years of experience in sales, marketing and consulting in biometrics and identity projects (including 13 years with Thales’ C4S Government, Energy and Industry Segment). Pascal holds an MBA from the ISG Management School and is Auditor of the 195th session at the ‘Institut des Hautes Etudes de Défense Nationale (IHEDN)’.
